Whether YOU are a sports fan, movie fan, activist, artist, student, parent, organizer, Latino or not, award winning novelist, astronaut, actor, painter, or anything else, all are welcome here! You us your story!

Axel Caballero – Cuéntame Founder | Director | Producer

Axel Caballero was born in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. He is currently part of the Brave New Films’ and Brave New Foundation’s team. He publishes Cuéntame, Cuéntame Central and runs the Spanish language blog Metaforapolitica.com.
Before, Axel was the Media and Community Relations Director for Peace Education Fund and Peace Action West. For the last 10 years, Axel has been active on diverse campaigns issues from nuclear disarmament, environmental protection, immigration to human rights and Latin American affairs.
He has been part in several electoral teams both in the United States as in Mexico. He was part of the Global Security Institute, a non-profit for nuclear disarmament as well as Aim for Human Rights in the Netherlands focused mainly on human rights in Latin America.
He is a graduate in Political Science and International Relations as well as Law and Society form the University of California in San Diego (UCSD) and received his masters in International Law and Protection of Human Rights from the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands, where he also participated in numerous forums on multiple international treaties. Carlos Miranda – Cuéntame | Supervising Producer
Carlos Mirada is currently the Video Editor and Motion Graphic Artist for Cuéntame. A native Brazilian, his background in both culture and education has naturally infused his style. He studied communications in Brazil and has graduate in Film & Electronic Arts @ CSULB. A well-rounded Independent Filmmaker, Editor and Motion Graphic Artist. Before joining Cuéntame, Carlos has worked in a wide range of productions from Documentaries, to Commercials & Corporate, to TV & Music Videos. In 2007, Carlos was nominated for the California EMMY for editing the short documentary: Kumeyaay – survival in the weave. He’s also a translator for Portuguese, English and Spanish
Iliana Sosa – Cuéntame IMPACT & Cuéntame ON CAMPUS | Story Producer
Iliana Sosa is a filmmaker and writer currently based in Los Angeles. She was born and raised in El Paso, Texas along the U.S.-Mexico Border to Mexican immigrant parents. Her work addresses socially relevant and cultural issues that affect marginalized communities in challenging and refreshing ways. She is a MFA thesis candidate in film directing/production at the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and TV.
Daniel “EL GÜERO” Dronsfield – Cuéntame ALERTA & Cuéntame LATINO VOCES | Story Producer
Daniel “EL GÜERO” Dronsfield is a filmmaker and writer currently based in Los Angeles. He was born and raised in Oregon and has done extensive media work in Mexico and South America. His a passionate advocate of immigration issues and media accountability. A creative tour de force within the Cuéntame team.
Luis Moreno - Cuéntame | New Media Associate
Luis Moreno is a graduate of University of California, Santa Barbara. Passionate about new and social media and they way it can be used to advance change. In his own words: “California. 25. I vent nicely here. I’m mexican. Dig if you wanna know something. The Smiths.”
Patricia De Borba – Cuéntame | Production Assistant
Brazilian born, Patricia De Borba works as a photographer in USA, Mexico and Brazil.
She is continuously developing visual projects with still and motion pictures.
